Live drawing at Glug Brighton

This Friday Heidi and I scooted down to Brighton to take part in the Glug Brighton event organised by Illustration agency Rush. Because what else should you be doing on a Friday if not drinking and drawing with a bunch of new people! They had incredible speakers at the event including David Shrigley, and lovely illustrator Camilla Perkins doing live drawing along side Heidi and I as guest illustrators to the event.

As the open house I'm currently running down in Brighton is full of Californian plants and palms, I decided to bring a bit of that down to the event in my painting. So for 3 hours I filled a 1.5m square of wood with these lovely leaves! My plan was: tropical lush plants with lots of scribbled detail. I hope I got it licked.
